• Hello nublets,

A few things have gone on behind the scenes in the past few weeks. Firstly, the discussion was brought up about allowing you to change your names on the forums to something other than your RSN. When Runeology was first made, it was decided that the forums (and IRC) should require to use your Runescape name for identification purposes, and to allow people to know who's who. However, not so long ago we decided to allow people on IRC to use a different name to their RSN and it seemed natural that we should allow this on the forums. Also, since people were using different names on IRC and the forums, this added an element of confusion regarding peoples identities. Therefore, we have decided to allow the use of other names on the forums, but they must be similar to the name you use on IRC, and you'll only be allowed to change your forum name once (RSN's will be displayed underneath your forum name). However, we have decided to wait on implementing this due to future planned changes to Runeology, which leads on to the next point...

Early discussions have began on development of a site for Runeology, something we've been meaning to do for a long time. Although the talks are in very early stages, we've got a somewhat clear idea of what we're aiming for and development will probably start in the coming weeks. We're thinking of putting things like guides on the site (having them automatically imported from the guides forum) and enhancing the features we have on the current Runeology portal. We're also open to ideas, if you have any ideas about things you'd like to see on the site, please let us know! It's likely we'll introduce the site with or shortly after we upgrade to IPB 3, so it'll probably be a number of months before the site will go live. However, you can expect sneak previews and chances to give feedback in future blog entries. image/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Finally, the issue of discussions of a sexual or 'mature' nature has been brought up. This is really an area where we need the feedback of the community in order to decide what rules we should enforce in IRC and on the forums regarding such discussions. Whilst we appreciate many people may not mind such discussions, some members do not enjoy such talk and we think a balance may need to be found. So, what is your view on this? Should it be allowed, banned or should a balance be made, and to what extent?

Since I can't think of anything to end this entry with, here's a picture of a puppy:

Also, everyone help persuade Claire to do a cover of the following song (there will be free crumpets for the person who manages to persuade her): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdTELokKfCk
