    We had someone PM many members with a phishing PM - please do not follow the link on this email.

    If you do you will lose your RS account - we are workiing on sorting it atm.

    Someone joined the community this evening using the account name of a maxed player, all looked legitimate then they PM'd some of you with this:

    The link was a phishing website that looked identical to the RS log-in and through coding was disguised as runescape.com link.


    Please be careful. The system here is designed so that all applications are checked but there is always a possibility that people can slip through the net, please don't ever follow these links and like Jagex say always check where you are entering your password.


    I have taken the precaution of disabling the pm system for applicants, validating members and pending members, the account could easily have got to be pending. I know this is inconvenient for those of you who are 'pending' but I hope you see it was needed.

    Thanks for the heads up, we had a similar case on our Clan Forums - luckily they never got to send the PM.

    aw man. That so bites. why people have to phish for a runescape account escapes me. I agree with Al! Ass whoopin' time!
