Well to begin giant mole is kinda easy and its good cash, that's why i go slaying it.
I always do it melee wise. I don't like picking up arrows =/

But there are RISKS >.<

1: Reqs:

• 43 prayer
• high mage lvl for Falador teleport ^.^

2: What to take:
If you go to the Giant Mole you can take this inventory: (this is what my inventory looks like)


Don't forget spade and lightsource. If you don't have a bulls-eye lantern you have to take a TINDERBOX!!!!! a bulls-eye will never go out, the rest will and you will get hit by bugs verry fast if your lightsource goes out. This is not a safe game, so you can die and lose your gear.

3: Place to be: Falador



To get in the lair dig while you are standing on a dig spot then you will get a message like this. You will only get it if you don't have a tinderbox with you.

4: Armor:
When I go Giant Mole hunting, I always take this armor with me. It is good, hits really nice, and has a good pray bonus.


But because Verac's is quite expensive you could also take this:

I would prefer using the Zammy Book instead of the Rune Defender.

5: Finding the mole
Finding the mole can be irritating as its a big cave :s


You will see all corners of the cave because the Giant Mole is blind and she digs :s

6: How do I know I am attacking the mole?
well it isn't that hard as there is only 1 thing you can attack in this cave and that's this big girl (or a random).

7: Start killing it
7.1: Make sure you have full prayer.
For starting I always do a dragon battle axe spec because I want to kill fast.
After you have done the spec drink an attack potion to get attack back up. (Don't worry about defense, as you're praying against Melee)

7.2: Put protect from melee on and start hitting it :-)
Make sure you don't run out of prayer, otherwise the Giant Mole can start hitting 20+, and she will do that often.

7.3: If she is half hp or a bit more or less she will dig. This is the irritating part!

Now its up to you to find her. She will probably dig a couple times more

7.4: DON'T USE DDS SPECS NOW!!! Else she digs for sure :s
if the mole is finally dead she will fade away (oh what a cruel world)


7.5: Another good way to kill the mole is poison her

7.6: 1 bad thing you can get here is, if she is low hp and you hit her and she got like 5 hp left and she digs, then its really time to put your run on and search for the drop :s (especially as you most likely used up your energy looking for her)

if you aren't fast enough you can say 'bye loot.'

7.8: If you run out of pray dont risk your life as you can see in your inven there are tele runes. Just tele to lumbridge, recharge pray tele to falador, bank everything and go back to the mole. you can also use home tele to lumbridge =/

Now lets talk about loot, I got this on 1 trip, but I was alone this time.

This was a bad trip looking at drops (addy sword mith axe and a Sapphire) =/
You can trade all the skins at the farmer. he will give you bird nests for it with rings/seeds inside. There can be magic seeds in it !!!!
Bird nests are good for selling too. I think 4k each!

Frequent drops that the Giant Mole gives:
Big bones (100%), Mithril battle-axe, Mithril bar, Amulet of strength, Oyster pearls, Death runes (7), Air runes (105), Rune medium helm, Sharks (4), Adamant longsword, uncut Gems, Iron arrow (690), noted Iron ore (50-100), Blood runes (15), Fire runes (105), Law runes (15), Mithril plate-body noted Yew logs (100), Rune battle-axe, Rune 2-H sword, Left half shield, Dragonstone, Dragon med helm, Half of a key mole skins and claw (100%)
